Tywardreath

A Fortunate Village

Tywardreath sits within a triangle of three main roads yet is just off all of them. This means that the village enjoys easy access without much traffic noise. It has retained many of the essential services which have been lost elsewhere - still having a primary school, a post office, a butcher, a grocer and newsagent, a fish and chip shop, a hair dresser, a pub, a Royal British legion club, two active churches, a scout hall, a bus service and a main line railway station ten minutes walk away. It takes quarter of an hour to walk to Par Beach and there are other walks offering a variety of coastal and inland scenery. The Links page shows some of the accommodation available as well as other suggestions if you are visiting the area.

Voluntary Organisations

There are several active voluntary organisations: Women's Institute, Strand Quilters, Aged Concern, Forget-me-not Club, Tywardreath Playgroup, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Beavers.
